The Expense of The Internet Continues to Grow Daily

For a long time after its creation, the net was more of a luxury than a convenience. Only those who could afford computers and modems were able to benefit from the benefits of being connected to the internet. As computer systems become cheaper and more powerful, the amount of things that use the internet has increase exponentially. The web is no longer considered a convenience by many people, but it is often seen as more of a necessity.   However, with all the ever increasing amount of people and devices that are using the internet, the currently low prices for fast online connections cannot last for very long.

More and more people are utilizing it
The internet is no longer used by only a few wealthy engineers and large companies. Even those found on the lowest tax bracket expect to have an internet connection within their home.  With this number of people who are using the internet, there is certainly more resources used up globally than ever before. The number of people that are using the internet is not expected to get smaller sooner. As the economies in India, China, and other developing nations continue to develop, the quantity of people utilizing the internet is anticipated to begin growing exponentially.

Restricted Resources
The net can only transfer a restricted amount of data at one time. You can think of it as something similar to a pipe. A given pipe can only manage to hold a certain amount of water. Just like the pipe can refill with water, the virtual pipes from the internet can be filled up with electronic data. Unlike the text chat programs that people utilized to use for the internet, 3D games use up an important part of these limited internet resources. As the internal structure of the internet must be upgraded, the cost for this will be passed down to the consumers, causing the price of the internet to shoot up considerably.

Have Fun While it lasts
There is no way how the currently cheap prices of the internet can last forever, but appreciate it while it lasts. Current ISPs allow individuals to download significant amounts of data for very little money, allowing unlimited streaming video and downloads in the process.  Without any restrictions about the amount of data you can download, the internet becomes an instrument which can be used for nearly everything.
